Privacy Policy

This policy explains what happens to personal information in connection with the website at calmthesis.online. The responsible entity is HH PROSERVIS s.r.o., Vosmíkových 930/12, Libeň, 180 00 Praha 8, Czech Republic; company registration 24412333; VAT number CZ24412333; email info@calmthesis.online. HH PROSERVIS s.r.o. publishes the course on this site and operates the domain.
Personal information is handled in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles, which the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner sets out at oaic.gov.au/privacy/australian-privacy-principles. Because this site is small and collects very little, the sections below walk through all thirteen principles in order and say what each one means here, including where a principle has almost no application.
This policy covers calmthesis.online and nothing else. Following a link from this site takes you to somebody else's website — including the World of Warships website, reached through a paid affiliate link, and the Australian government sites the course cites. Those sites have their own privacy policies and this one does not apply to them.

APP 1 — Open and transparent management of personal information
This page is the whole of the publisher's privacy documentation for this site; there is no separate internal policy that contradicts it. The site is built as static pages with no database, no login and no submission handling, so the practices described here are a description of the code rather than a promise about it. The cookie policy covers storage technologies in the same way and agrees with this page. Questions and complaints go to info@calmthesis.online.
APP 2 — Anonymity and pseudonymity
You can read every page of this site without identifying yourself. There is nothing to sign in to and nothing to fill in. If you write to the publisher, you may use a pseudonymous email address and a first name only, and your message will still be answered. The one exception is a request for access to or correction of personal information: to answer that honestly, the publisher must be able to connect the request to the information held, which in practice means writing from the address the earlier correspondence came from.
APP 3 — Collection of solicited personal information
Two categories of information exist, and they are the only two.
Access logs. Our hosting provider keeps ordinary web server logs when a page is served. These contain the IP address of the connection, the date and time of the request, the URL requested, the referring page where the browser sends one, and the user-agent string identifying the browser and operating system. Nobody at HH PROSERVIS s.r.o. adds anything to these logs or links them to any other record.
Email you send. If you write to info@calmthesis.online, the publisher receives your email address, any name you give, the content of your message and any attachment you include.
Nothing else is collected. There is no form of any kind on this site, no account, no newsletter, no sign-up, no quiz, no progress tracking and no saved checklist state. No cookies are set, no web fonts are loaded, no analytics tool runs, no advertising tag is present, and no profile is built about any reader or followed across other sites. The pages request nothing from any other server at all, so no third party learns that you visited.
APP 4 — Dealing with unsolicited personal information
Because the site has no forms, unsolicited personal information can only arrive by email. If a message contains personal information that is not needed to reply to it — identity documents, health details, details about other people, game account credentials — that material is deleted as soon as it is lawful and reasonable to do so, and it is not used for anything in the meantime. The publisher never asks for any of it.
APP 5 — Notification of the collection of personal information
This page is the notification, and it is linked in the footer of every page of the site. It names the entity, says what is collected, why, how long it is kept, who receives it and how to complain. If you write to the publisher, the reply will tell you if anything about that handling differs in your case.
APP 6 — Use or disclosure of personal information
Access logs are used for three purposes only: keeping the site secure, dealing with abuse such as automated attacks, and diagnosing faults. Email is used for one purpose only: replying to you.
Personal information from this site is never sold, rented, traded or shared for marketing, by anyone, in any form. It is disclosed outside the publisher and its two service providers only where the law requires it — for example, in response to a valid legal demand — and such a disclosure has to be lawful before it will be made.
APP 7 — Direct marketing
There is no direct marketing. There is no mailing list, no newsletter and no promotional email of any kind. The site does not send course reminders, progress emails or anything else, because it has no record that you are reading it. Writing to the publisher does not add you to anything.
APP 8 — Cross-border disclosure of personal information
Two service providers are involved in running this site: our hosting provider, which serves the pages and keeps the access logs, and our email service provider, which carries messages to and from the contact address. The publisher is established in the Czech Republic and these providers may store or process data outside Australia, including in locations the publisher does not separately control. No other recipient exists.
APP 9 — Adoption, use or disclosure of government related identifiers
This principle has no application here. No government related identifier — a tax file number, a Medicare number, a driver licence number or anything comparable — is adopted, used or disclosed by this site, and none is ever requested.
APP 10 — Quality of personal information
So little is held that quality questions rarely arise, but the commitment is simple: if something held about you is wrong, say so at info@calmthesis.online and it will be corrected. Access logs are generated by the server rather than entered by anyone; where an entry is said to be inaccurate, the remedy is usually deletion.
APP 11 — Security of personal information
The site is served over HTTPS so that the connection between your browser and the server is encrypted. There is no database behind the site and no stored submissions, because nothing is submitted. The hosting account and the mailbox are accessible only to people working for HH PROSERVIS s.r.o., using individual credentials. Information that is no longer needed is deleted on the schedule set out below rather than kept indefinitely. The publisher claims no certification and no compliance with any security standard beyond what is described in this paragraph.
APP 12 — Access to personal information
You can ask for a copy of the personal information HH PROSERVIS s.r.o. holds about you. Email info@calmthesis.online with “Privacy request” in the subject line. There is no charge for making a request. A reply will be sent within 30 days. In practice the answer for most people is that nothing identifiable is held, because logs are retained briefly and no other record exists; where access must be refused, the reason will be given in writing.
APP 13 — Correction of personal information
Corrections use the same route: email with “Privacy request” in the subject line, no charge, a reply within 30 days. If a correction is refused, the reasons are given and you may ask for a statement of your view to be kept with the information.
How long each category is kept
Access logs kept by our hosting provider are retained for 30 days and then deleted or overwritten. Email sent to the contact address is kept for 24 months after the last message in the conversation, unless it needs to be kept longer because it relates to a legal claim, in which case it is kept until that matter is finished.
Affiliate links and what happens when you follow one
Some links in the course are paid affiliate links. Following one takes you off calmthesis.online immediately, by an ordinary link with no redirect of ours in between. From that moment, the destination site and the affiliate network that operates the link may use cookies or similar technology on their own domains to record that the referral came from here, under their own privacy policies rather than this one.
HH PROSERVIS s.r.o. receives commission reports from the affiliate network. Those reports are used only to reconcile payments. The publisher does not ask for, and does not want, information that identifies individual readers, and does not attempt to match any such report to a visit to this site.
Complaints
If you think your privacy has been mishandled, write to info@calmthesis.online. Complaints are acknowledged and answered within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with the response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au/privacy/privacy-complaints, which explains how its complaints process works.
Data breaches
If the publisher becomes aware of unauthorised access to, or loss of, personal information connected with this site, it will be assessed promptly. Where serious harm to anyone is likely, the people affected and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner will be notified in line with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
Children
This site is written for adults and is not directed at people under 16. Nothing is collected that would identify a child, because nothing is collected that identifies anyone beyond the two categories described above. Parts of the course discuss settings relevant to young players, but they are addressed to the adult reading them.
If you are in the European Union, the EEA or the United Kingdom
HH PROSERVIS s.r.o. is established in the Czech Republic, so European data protection law also applies to this handling. The legal basis for keeping access logs is the publisher's legitimate interest in running the site securely and diagnosing faults. The legal basis for handling email is responding to the enquiry you chose to send. No processing relies on consent, because nothing on this site asks for consent: there are no cookies and no trackers to consent to.
Where that law applies to you, you have the right to ask for access to your personal information, rectification of it, erasure of it, restriction of its processing, portability of it, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Requests go to info@calmthesis.online. You may also complain to a supervisory authority; for the publisher's own establishment this is the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection, Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů, at uoou.gov.cz.
Changes to this policy
When this policy is revised, the effective date at the top is updated. Where a change is material, a short note saying so will appear at the top of this page for 30 days after the revision, so that a returning reader can see that something moved without re-reading the whole page.
